Volvo has always led the pack in safety, but they are not messing around when it comes to their big goal to make their cars completely death proof by 2020.
According to Volvo, they are planning to use a number of new technologies to meet their goals. These will include adaptive cruise control, which helps the car maintain a safe distance on its own. Automatic lane assistance is another feature they’re banking on — this will make sure the car is in its own lane. They are also fine-tuning collision avoidance that helps drivers navigate obstacles, and pedestrian and large animal protection.
