Mercedes Unveils Plus-Size Maybach 6 Concept

On Thursday, August 18th, Mercedes-Benz reveled their massive Maybach 6 concept car in Pebble Beach, California. This will likely be one of the biggest attractions ahead of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, which starts tomorrow.

The 2-plus-2 coupe is meant to point to the direction of the brand. It is a whopping 18-1/2’ long, and is very reminiscent of the boats that roamed the roads back in the ‘50s. It has an extended hood, elongated boat tail rear and gullwing, overhead-opening doors, and rides on 24” wheels.

It’s also electric and packed full of technology, making it a pretty solid nostalgia update — combining throwback looks with cutting edge technology. The power output is 738 horsepower, and it can reach 62 miles per hour in about four-seconds. Top speed is limited at 62 miles per hour.
